Alba Wine 2008 - 2005 Roero
The area called the
Roero
is just across the Tanaro river from the Langhe
(which is where Barbaresco and Barolo are
grown). Think of the Langhe and the Roero (and
Monferrato for that matter), as different wine
growing zones that are geographically and
geologically different from each other.

CHI
SONO?
My name is Donna and I live in the Piedmont region of Italy. I am a freelance writer working on a couple of books. In addition to what is on this site you can read some of my published work here, and some other writing here.
I also run the tour company TourPiedmont.com. We do cooking classes with some amazing chefs and a couple of grandmothers. We visit farms and cheese makers, wineries and sometimes when the season is right we go in search of truffles. My focus is on great food and of course wine.
I work with small groups to be able to show the side of the Piedmont that only a local can.
Hopefully your travels will bring you to this beautiful corner of Italy
Salute!
